### Job Description
Amazon is seeking dedicated and motivated individuals to join our team as Warehouse Sorters in Mount Vernon. As a vital part of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for sorting, scanning, and preparing packages for shipment to ensure that customers receive their orders on time. This is a full-time position offering competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.
### Requirements
**Minimum Requirements:**
1. **Age:** Must be at least 18 years old.
2. **Education:** High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
3. **Experience:** Prior experience in a warehouse setting is advantageous but not required.
4. **Physical Ability:** Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
5. **Work Authorization:** Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
6. **Communication Skills:** Basic proficiency in English.
7. **Technical Skills:** Ability to use handheld scanners and other warehouse technology.
### Responsibilities
1. **Sorting Packages:** Accurately sort packages based on destination and ensure they are placed on the correct conveyor belts.
2. **Scanning:** Use handheld scanners to track packages and maintain accurate records.
3. **Loading:** Load and unload packages from delivery vehicles and conveyor belts.
4. **Quality Control:** Ensure all packages are in good condition and report any defects or damages.
5. **Safety Compliance:** Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
6. **Team Collaboration:** Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily and weekly sorting goals.
7. **Operational Efficiency:** Assist in maintaining an organized and efficient warehouse environment.
