Job Description
At NYC-Retail Inc., we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service. As a Cart Attendant, your primary responsibility will be to gather and organize shopping carts throughout the store’s parking lot and entrance area. This role is essential in ensuring that our customers have easy access to carts, which enhances their shopping experience. You will work closely with other team members to maintain a clean and organized environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Your day-to-day tasks will include monitoring cart availability, assisting customers with cart needs, and ensuring that all carts are clean and functional. You will also be responsible for returning stray carts to designated areas and reporting any damages or maintenance issues. This role requires a proactive approach to customer service and a commitment to maintaining the store’s high standards.
Requirements
– Must be at least 18 years old
– High school diploma or equivalent preferred
– Previous experience in customer service is a plus
– Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
– Strong communication skills
– Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
– Must pass a background check
Physical Requirements
– Ability to lift and push heavy carts (up to 50 pounds)
– Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
– Must be comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Responsibilities
– Monitor and collect shopping carts from the parking lot
– Ensure all carts are clean and in good working condition
– Assist customers with any cart-related inquiries
– Return stray carts to designated areas promptly
– Report any damaged carts to management
– Maintain a clean and organized entrance area
– Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
