Job Description
The Retail Door Monitor is a vital position within NYC-Retail Inc., responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our retail space. As a member of our team, you will engage with customers and monitor entrance and exit activities. Your primary goal will be to create a secure shopping environment while providing outstanding customer service.
In this role, you will be tasked with monitoring customer behavior and detecting suspicious activities. You will also assist customers with inquiries and maintain a friendly presence at the store entrance. Your observant nature will help you effectively identify potential shoplifters and report incidents to management.
Additionally, you will collaborate with other team members to ensure compliance with store policies and procedures. This position requires a proactive approach to maintaining a clean and organized entrance area, as well as the ability to handle various situations with professionalism and courtesy. Requirements
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
3. Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
4. Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
7. Must be physically able to stand for extended periods and perform light lifting.
Physical Requirements
– Ability to stand for long periods and walk around the store.
– Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds as needed.
– Must possess good visual acuity to monitor the store environment effectively.
Responsibilities
1. Monitor entrance and exit points to prevent theft and unauthorized access.
2. Greet and assist customers to create a welcoming atmosphere.
3. Report suspicious activities or incidents to management promptly.

Qualifications
– Previous experience in retail, security, or customer service roles is a plus.
– Must be at least 18 years old.
