Job Description
The Retail Stock Associate position at NYC-Retail Inc. involves a variety of responsibilities aimed at supporting our retail operations. Your main duties will include receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that merchandise is displayed attractively on the sales floor.
You will work closely with other team members to ensure that stock is rotated regularly, minimizing waste and maintaining freshness. This role requires you to be physically active, lifting and moving items throughout your shift. You’ll also assist customers by locating products and answering any questions they may have.
In addition to stock management, you will be expected to contribute to store cleanliness and safety by following all company policies and procedures. You will also participate in regular team meetings, sharing ideas and feedback to improve store operations. Your ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated will be crucial for success in this position.
Requirements
– High school diploma or equivalent preferred
– Previous retail or stock experience is a plus
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
– Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks
– Excellent communication skills
– Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
– Basic math skills for inventory management
Responsibilities
– Receive and unpack merchandise from deliveries
– Organize and stock shelves in an efficient manner
– Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with stock audits
– Ensure that sales floor is clean and well-presented
– Assist customers with locating items and answering questions
– Report any damaged or missing merchandise to management
– Follow safety and sanitation procedures at all times
Qualifications
– Must be at least 18 years old
– Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
– Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
– Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
– Basic computer skills for inventory management
