Job Description
As a Part-Time Sales Associate – Footwear at NYC-Sales Inc., you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, helping customers find the perfect shoes, and maintaining the appearance of the store. Our Sales Associates are known for their exceptional service, product knowledge, and ability to create a welcoming shopping experience.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, offer assistance, and guide them through our footwear selection to ensure they find what they need.
- Sales Goals: Achieve and exceed personal and store sales goals through excellent customer service and product knowledge.
- Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest footwear trends, features, and benefits to provide knowledgeable recommendations to customers.
- Stock Management: Assist in receiving, organizing, and restocking footwear to ensure the store is always fully stocked and visually appealing.
- Point of Sale: Operate the cash register, process transactions accurately, and handle returns and exchanges efficiently.
- Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean, organized, and visually appealing through regular housekeeping duties.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members to create a positive work environment and achieve store goals.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is a plus.
- Passion for footwear and fashion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and climbing ladders.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Previous retail or customer service experience preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong customer service skills, a friendly and outgoing demeanor, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Availability: Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
