Job Description
ActiveSports Gear Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Sales Representative for our Sporting Goods department. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for achieving sales targets, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the overall success of the team. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of retail sales experience, preferably in a sporting goods environment
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, and lift up to 40 pounds
- Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices
Responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the management
- Provide high-quality customer service by assisting customers in selecting sporting goods and answering queries
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and restocked as necessary
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our POS system
- Stay updated on product knowledge including features, benefits, and trends
- Participate in store meetings and training sessions to enhance sales techniques and product knowledge
- Collaborate with team members to achieve overall store performance goals
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous retail sales experience, particularly in sporting goods, is highly desirable
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build relationships with customers
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Ability to work well in a team environment
