Job Description

NYC-Retail Inc. is looking for a Stock Replenishment Assistant who will be responsible for the timely restocking of merchandise on the sales floor, while adhering to company policies and procedures. This position requires an individual who is organized, efficient, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key responsibilities include:

1. **Receiving Shipments**: Accurately receive and inspect incoming stock shipments to ensure quality and quantity match order specifications.

2. **Stock Organization**: Efficiently organize and store merchandise in designated areas, maintaining a clean and orderly stockroom.

3. **Shelf Replenishment**: Regularly check stock levels on sales floors and replenish shelves as needed to ensure product availability for customers.

4. **Inventory Management**: Assist in conducting regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock records and report discrepancies to management.

5. **Customer Assistance**: Engage with customers as needed to provide information about products and assist them in locating items.

6. **Store Presentation**: Ensure that all merchandise is displayed attractively, maintaining visual merchandising standards set by the company.

7. **Safety Compliance**: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your fellow team members.

Requirements

– High school diploma or equivalent.

– Previous experience in retail or a stockroom environment is preferred but not required.

– Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

– Basic computer skills for inventory management systems.

– Excellent communication skills for customer interaction.

– Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical tasks.

– Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

– Ability to stand for extended periods.

– Frequent lifting, bending, and reaching for merchandise.

– Ability to navigate through tight spaces and stockrooms.

Responsibilities

– Receive and verify stock shipments.

Qualifications
