Weekend Retail Associate

Job Description:

At NYC-Retail Inc., our Weekend Retail Associates are the face of our brand. You will engage with customers, answer their questions, and provide assistance as needed. Your main responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness, restocking merchandise, and processing transactions efficiently. As a part of our team, you will help create a positive shopping environment and ensure that every visitor leaves satisfied.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions.
• Attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Customer Engagement: Greet customers and assist them in product selection.
• Merchandising: Maintain store displays and ensure products are well-stocked and organized.
• Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the cash register.
• Inventory Management: Help with restocking and managing inventory levels.
• Store Maintenance: Keep the store clean and orderly, following health and safety guidelines.
• Sales Support: Participate in promotional events and initiatives to boost sales.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to achieve store goals and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and a strong desire to provide excellent customer service.
• Willingness to learn about our products and services.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and responsibilities.
• Reliable transportation to commute to the store.
• Previous experience in retail is a plus.
