Job Description
As a Retail Associate at NYC-Retail Inc., you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to all customers who visit our store at the Westfield World Trade Center. Your role will encompass various tasks that support the store’s operations and contribute to a positive shopping experience.
Your primary responsibility will be to greet customers as they enter the store, providing assistance as needed. You will showcase your product knowledge by answering questions and making recommendations, ensuring customers leave with a smile. You will also maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, ensuring that products are displayed attractively and that inventory is well-stocked.
Additionally, you will assist in processing transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and electronic payments with care. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, including restocking shelves and organizing backstock. Regular participation in training sessions will keep you informed about new products and sales techniques.
Physical requirements for this position include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks that require bending, reaching, and climbing. You will be an essential part of our team, helping to create an engaging shopping environment.
Requirements
– Minimum 1 year of retail experience preferred
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong customer service orientation
– Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
– Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions
